Superbad, Superslick
James Brown exudes confidence and this week you’ll find FSQ show host Chuck Da Fonk trying to harness Mr. Brown’s Superbad, Superslick energy over the course of this two hour J.B. tribute.
The episode features an exclusive FSQ interview with James Brown and Prince music manager, Alan Leeds, who recently wrote a book called “There Was A Time” all about his work with J.B. in the early 1970s.
Many of the J.B.’s band are musically featured in the episode including Bootsy Collins, Bobby Byrd, Alfred “Pee Wee” Ellis, Fred Wesley and of course Maceo Parker.
